"The conference will include both faculty and student oral presentations, on topics that range from environmental to clinical microbiology. We will also have an afternoon dedicated to undergraduate and graduate student poster presentations, and will award prizes to the best talks and posters in each category. The highlight of our meeting will be the 2019 Goldschmidt lecture, held on Friday evening. We will close the meeting on Saturday morning, with a careers session for students and a session dedicated to educational topics for faculty.

This Conference is geared toward undergraduate students and first- and second-year graduate students. It is a great opportunity for students to develop their presentation skills and interact with faculty from all around Texas in a very friendly and relaxed environment."
