Anxiety Treatment Group - Summer 2019 (Austin)
Are you struggling with excessive worry, anxiety, or panic? Anxiety disorders are highly treatable!
The University of Texas Laboratory for the Study of Anxiety Disorders is currently offering a psychoeducational treatment group designed to address anxiety disorders using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a practical approach to treatment. Its goal is to change patterns of thinking and behavior that are behind people's difficulties, and ultimately change the way they feel.
Where: The University of Texas, Seay Psychology Building, Laboratory for the Study of Anxiety Disorders
Dates: 10 Weeks (July/August Dates are TBD)
When: Thursdays from 7:00-9:00 pm
Cost: $30 per session
The lab currently sees a wide variety of patients that may have an anxiety disorder such as:
•Panic Disorder •Agoraphobia• Social Anxiety Disorder • Generalized Anxiety Disorder •OCD •PTSD •Health Anxiety •Specific Phobias
