Since the pivot online in 2020 and the repeated need for remote instruction, students are engaged in technology-mediated learning to a greater degree than ever before.  What is the impact of technology on academic integrity?  Faculty will share their experiences and reflections on teaching with online exams in Canvas, remote proctoring with Honorlock, Turnitin for plagiarism detection, and strategies for ensuring academic integrity in online assignments.  This faculty panel will take a critical look at our technologies and how they have changed teaching and learning.  Panelists will include:

  • W. Carsten Andresen, Associate Professor, Criminal Justice

  • Megan DeWhatley, Lecturer and Lab Coordinator, Biological Sciences

  • Jamie Hinojosa, Assistant Professor, Writing and Rhetoric and Director of General Education Writing Program

  • Katherine J. Lopez, Associate Professor, Accounting and MS-Accounting Analytics Program Director
