Creation from Chaos: A Look at Genesis in the St. John’s Bible

Come and explore the question of what how a formless void and chaos ignited God’s imagination to create the world.  The artistry and images found in the St. John’s Illuminated Bible will drive a lively discussion of the Book of Genesis as we examine biblical myth and symbolism through scholarship, stories and art.

Discussion with Professors Kelly Coblenz-Bautsch, Alexandra Robinson and Helene Bach with stories and Moderation by Cathy Schechter

At the end of the discussion, participants will move from the library outside to the Sukkah (weather permitting) to express how interacting with the SJIB has ignited their imaginations, with clay, water colors, and poetry.
