Ikigai, a Mission-Oriented Job Search

Join us on Wednesday, March 31 at 5:30pm to learn about Ikigai, a Mission-Oriented Job Search.

Have you thought about the connection between the classes you are taking as a liberal arts student and our future career? Are you currently struggling with finding the balance between following your bliss and getting paid?

Join us as we host a conversation about a mission-oriented job search and the Japanese concept of ikigai (pronounced Ick-ee-guy), meaning a "reason for being." Jason De La Rosa, Director of Career and Professional Development, and Dr. Jack Musselman, Associate Professor of Philosophy, will discuss combining four elements in your major/job search:

- what you love

- what you are good at

- what the world needs

- what you can get paid for
