As a part of the Presidential Inauguration of Dr. Montserrat “Montse” Fuentes, the university community is invited to work with and learn from nonprofit and justice organizations providing valuable resources to Austin. Social justice is rooted in our university's mission and a cornerstone of Dr. Fuentes' administration and future vision for St. Edward's University. The day offers 2 tracks to ensure that everyone can participate: service experiences or justice presentations.
TRACK 1 | SERVICE EXPERIENCES
Want to engage in the work? Sign up to volunteer on campus or at a local service site. We'll start with a Kick Off Event with Dr. Fuentes under the tent on Andre Lawn at 1:30 PM.

-Austin Creative Reuse | Material Sorting
-Austin Sunshine Camps | Volunteer Training & Camp Letter Writing
-Austin Sunshine Camps | Camp Kit Creation
-*Central Texas Food Bank | Food Sorting (will not attend the Kick Off event)
-Pop Up Birthday | Birthday Box Decorating
-Students for Sustainability | Blunn Creek Clean Up
-*The Arc | Raised Garden Bed Building
-*The Trail Foundation | Supply Organization & Trail Maintenance

TRACK 2 | JUSTICE PRESENTATIONS
Interested in learning more about organizations contributing to a more just world here in the Austin area? Sign up to attend a Zoom presentation. With a presentation every half hour, you can attend one or all during the afternoon! You are welcome to attend the Kick Off Event under the tent on Andre Lawn at 1:30 PM.
Options include:
2:00 PM | KING [Kids In a New Groove] or Wayside Schools
2:30 PM | Out Youth
3:00 PM | Foundation Communities or half Helen
3:30 PM | Breakthrough Central Texas
