Subversive Spirituality Mini-Retreat

Session Theme: “No Harm, No Foul: Empowered Listening in the Beloved Community of a Pandemic”

Session Speaker: Dr. Teri Varner, Associate Prof., Communications

Location: Online (Join the Meeting)

Annual Theme: "Pursuing the Beloved Community"

This will be the last meeting of the academic year. This year's Subversive Spirituality series explored how we might work toward building more inclusive and compassionate communities. For vision and inspiration, we are considering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s concept of the “Beloved Community,” which was central to his life and work. In our conversations, we will reflect on what it means to regard one another as being created in the image of God, a biblical concept that is explicitly mentioned in the St. Edward's mission statement.
